1800s dzm

The revolution counter is connected in series by means of a white and a red cable to the low-tension cable of the ignition system between ignition coil and distributor. The white cable is connected to the distributor, the red one to the ignition coil.

Firing impulses from the ignition coil are reinforced in the revolution counter with the help of an inductance coil. A rnoving coil, linked with the revolution counter needle, turns in proportion to the frequency of the impulses from the ignition coil, so that the needle points to the speed of the engine.
