Glysantin recommends distilled or demineralised water for mixing, because Glysantin contains ions and this mixture does not damage the engine block. If distilled water is not available, tap water can be used, provided the water is not harder than 20° German hardness (hardness range 3-4). If the water is harder, mix the tap water with distilled water.

For aluminium engines (e.g. Volvo B 27; B 28), always use radiator protection in a mixing ratio of 1 : 1 and change it every two years, as the red-violet radiator protection agent protects the aluminium block from corrosion.

Undiluted radiator protection product does not sufficiently dissipate the engine heat; this results in the engine overheating.

Do not forget: The additives for corrosion protection contained in the radiator protection degrade after about three years, so change the coolant every third autumn. This is particularly important for aluminium engine blocks.

Radiator protection agents must not be disposed of in the sewage system!
